“Dr. Paul Bunge provides a very human look at pandemic risk management at the local level... what those working hard to keep the healthcare machine moving for people in smaller communities every day faced during COVID-19, and how those challenges reverberate with or without a pandemic.”

Professor of Infectious Diseases and Public Health
Author of A Year of Ebola
Dr Bunge Note: by the way, buy the book By Dr. Brett-Major above! And I would tell you to watch the movie, "93 Days" but I don't know where you can find it for streaming or DVD purchase currently, unless you have a VPN to Egypt or South Africa. The movie is high quality, not sure why it is no longer on Netflix or Amazon, hope that is temporary)
I would strongly recommend Dr Paul Bunge's book "Those Three Years". Dr Bunge share trials and victories from the early days of the covid epidemic to the development and implications of the COVID vaccines. The world faced the worst health crisis in a hundred years. In this book, one gets to peek behind the curtain and see what really occurred during those dark days.

Dr. Paul Bunge brings his vast experience and knowledge as a doctor in internal medicine and hospice care and a contributor to research working with COVID to life in his book, Those Three Years. The book plumbs the depths of despair of the plague but also shares the tremendous sacrificial love manifested by those fighting the battle on the front lines, dealing with all aspects of the disease. Dr. Bunge went a step further in founding Bird’s Eye Medical to work in the State of Washington to aid in fighting the crisis through testing, vaccines, and COVID treatments.
In pursuit of growth as a Christian and a doctor, to seek to make more sense of the confusing issues, he took the time to obtain his Master of Arts in Leadership Ministry with an Emphasis in Counseling and Care from Faith International University and Seminary. With this depth added to his daily practice of solid in-depth medical expertise, he presents a strong Christian Counseling perspective from which to view the COVID journey by staff, patients, and families. Dr. Bunge brings a caring, integrated, and balanced perspective to the issue for the reader to consider and grow. I highly recommend reading this book.
